pangaea

The only reality that matters is this moment . . .

How do we respond? Creating art as well as viewing it requires us to be present with the work. Mindfulness and meditation are a key part of Heather’s process, in the conception and completion. Each brushstroke is a response to a fleeting moment - as a result, many layers build and lines compete before they settle. “Pangaea” is a work heavily steeped in awareness. The flickers and lantern flies who share space, color, and pattern are also sharing our presently shifting ecosystem.

Drawing and painting have been Heather’s work since childhood. Always a path to expanding observations, resolving questions, and exploring possibilities, to her, art is a philosophical venture.
