Juror
Pam McLean-Parker, Juror Bio and Statement
For over three decades, since earning her BFA from Rosemont College, Pam McLean-Parker has exhibited her photographs and photo-based artwork in the Philadelphia area and beyond in galleries, art centers and in a museum show in solo, group, juried and invitational exhibitions.
Her work has received a handsome measure of recognition and numerous awards. McLean-Parker is the current Exhibition Director for The Montgomery County Guild of Professional Artists and the Art Editor for Philadelphia Stories magazine and served on the board of directors for Philadelphia/Tri-State Artists Equity Association for several years. She also served on an art advisory panel with the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts and the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance and has been invited to serve as photography and art juror for a number of organizations. In 2017 she helped establish The 431 Art Gallery in King of Prussia.
Regarding jurying McLean-Parker writes, “It is a delight and honor to view another’s work - to connect to the aesthetic sensibility and the artist’s personal vision as it is conveyed in a piece. It is a privilege to engage in a dialogue with another’s work as juror while considering intention and execution. I look forward to seeing what the artists of the Manayunk Roxborough Art Center are creating.”
