McKibbin's style is known for its spontaneity, brilliance and figurative draftsmanship in abstract forms. His prolific body of work has been reproduced in 40 books, magazines and CD covers, featured in over 200 exhibitions, 80 of which have been national and regional juried shows. He has also won numerous awards throughout his career, which includes three decades of teaching art history, painting and drawing at the collegiate level both here in the United States and in Greece and Mexico. He currently works out of his studio in Bensalem, PA. Of his work, Alex says, “My brush seems guided less directly by my eye than by a kind of motor empathy with the rhythms, weight, and tensions of the elements of the landscape before me.”
