"My show. Unlocking Whimsy, is an exploration into the whimsical art of encaustic photography exploring my imagination, the female figure through the lens of a camera and mixed media works of art.

I create layered pieces that marry more than one art form in the hopes of extending our reality and stepping off into a surreal dreamscape. I use photographs of women and flowers to write poetry of precious and fragile objects. The encaustic allows me to dance physically on the surface to create emotional textures and patterns that help abstract the imagery.”
